All the modes from B3 are here but Pursuit Mode makes a triumphant return.

It's not really a big deal though, more like nitpicking. You kinda have to get used to it and look for the bloom. It can be very difficult to spot them at times but the developers seem to compensate for this visibility problem by increasing the bloom lighting caused by the headlights/taillights. When oncoming cars first appear in front of you they are about 2 pixels tall. The main problem I have with the graphics is seeing oncoming traffic. The videos you've seen probably give you the impression that the game looks slower than the console versions. Actually I think it helps the graphics because it gives it that extra blur that thats missing from B3 and it masks the sharpness of the environment a little bit.Īnd don't worry about the sense of speed. There is a very slight ghosting effect caused by the PSP's screen but its only noticable to the trained eye. It's not a big deal though since you're going at 150-200mph.

To me they look the same on the PSP's screen except everything looks a little sharper and jagged. If you've played the B3 tracks then you know how detailed some of the scenery can be.

The graphics, as every review has said, are the best the PSP currently has to offer. I prefer to use the analog stick but the dpad works well too. Whatever the config you choose, the controls are just as tight and exactly as I remember them from B3. The 2nd config maps the gas and brake to the shoulder buttons instead of the X, Square config of B3. Yea, not much but aleast its better than B3's lack of configurations. You can choose between 2 preset configurations. Cars are from all three games and the music I think is new to the series as well but again its been awhile. I could be wrong but I think a couple of the tracks could be from B2 or B1 but it's been a while since I've played B3 and I've never played B2 or B1. The menus, graphics, sounds and tracks are from B3. By dj_fuse2k5 | Review Date: MaIf you've played Burnout 3: Takedown then you will definately feel right at home with Legends because B3 is the game in the series that Legends is most closely related to.
